Have you ever been so excited for a new year that you basically felt like you were about to conquer the world with nothing but your planner and a cup of coffee?
Yep. That was me on January 1st. ✨
Big dreams. Big energy. BIG plans.
Fast forward to now and… wait, where did I put that planner?
Life happened. The school runs, the full-time job, the mental load of “Does everyone have everything they need at the right time?” and suddenly… my dreams? My goals?
They got shoved into the same drawer as the random phone chargers and birthday candles.
But something magical happened recently while I was in Scotland (cue sweeping landscape music and maybe a wild unicorn).
It all came flooding back—like Peter Pan in the movie Hook when he remembered his happy thoughts and BAM! He could fly again.
That was me.
Standing in the drizzle, thinking about my “why.”
Why I started all this.
Why I wanted to build an online business in the first place.
Why I said I wanted to earn £5k/month outside of my 9-5.
Why I want time, freedom, memories, and to finally afford a Christmas without the January guilt.
So here we are. Refocused. Reignited. Reaaady(ish).
And to keep this fire burning, I’ve accepted a 30-day TikTok Challenge.🔥
Yes, I will be posting every single day on TikTok (feel free to send coffee and encouragement—or wine, depending on how it’s going).
👉 You can follow the chaos on TikTok.
Even better? Join in! Let’s be chaotic and ambitious together!
The Plan: 30 Days. One Goal. £5k a Month.
Let me break down what this 30-day challenge looks like, so you can see how I’m going to get myself back on track—and maybe inspire you to do the same (because, let’s be honest, we’re all winging it with snacks in our bag and 400 tabs open in our brains).
1. Post Daily on TikTok
-
Short videos. Real talk.
-
Behind the scenes of juggling work, parenting, and business-building.
-
Tips, fails, lessons. Maybe even the occasional dance if I’m feeling brave (or sleep-deprived).
-
Purpose: drive traffic to my online business.
2. Show Up With Purpose
-
Every post will have value, whether it’s motivational, educational, or mildly entertaining.
-
No more posting just because “I should”—this time it’s strategy with soul.
3. Improve Video Quality
-
Not Oscar-winning stuff, but I’m working on better hooks, smoother editing, and clearer messages.
-
Because let’s be real—if I have 8 seconds to catch someone’s attention, I better make it snappy (and not with my back, because #over30problems).
4. Self-Discipline = Freedom
-
I know I won’t always “feel” like showing up.
But feelings aren’t the boss—my vision is.
(Still gonna allow myself the occasional moan though, don’t worry.)
5. £5k/Month Game Plan
-
Affiliate links and digital products (yes, that eBook I keep saying I’ll finish? It’s happening).
- TikTok live sessions promoting the e-book!
-
TikTok Shop (I’ll only recommend what I love, promise).
-
Email marketing magic (because mums check their inbox during the school play, and I respect that).
-
Passive income streams that work even when I’m cleaning lunchboxes at 10pm.
Want to Join Me?
This isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about showing up anyway.
It’s about mums building dreams during nap time or on lunch breaks.
It’s about creating more choices, more time, and more “yes” moments in life.
So whether you’re joining the 30-day challenge or just here for the giggles and updates, I’m so glad you’re with me.
Catch you on TikTok (or in the comments below if you want to cheer me on with a GIF of Peter Pan soaring into the sky. Totally welcome.)
Love this! I read the blog with your voice in my head haha😂 you can do it Mrs G! xx
This has made my day! Thank you for commenting! My voice in your head for a whole blog? I’m so sorry! lol
Have to say Sarah, I totally love this weeks blog entry! I’d like to think that since I’m doing the same thing and found at least one other person doing it – it isn’t all for nothing!
I really love the phrase you use: “it’s not about being perfect but about showing up!”
Let the chaos begin!!!
Thanks Marc. I love that you liked my blog. Let the chaos begin!
Hey Sarah!
Wow, your energy is contagious! I love how you’re reigniting your dreams and tackling the 30-day TikTok challenge with such passion. The 5k/month goal sounds ambitious, but your plan—daily posts, better videos, and smart strategies like affiliate links and email marketing, makes it feel totally doable. As a busy mom, you’re so inspiring for showing up despite the chaos! I’m cheering you on… I’ll have to take a peek and follow your TikTok journey. Keep shining! ✨

What is a plan if not ambitious! New York was hard but it happened…. I was told I was delusional today ad it was a compliment! Thank you for cheering me on, I really appreciate it.
Hi Sarah – Ooh, this was so good! I love your idea of posting content with the idea of purpose – “it’s strategy with soul..” That one really hit me. I am enjoying posting on a daily basis, but I need to ask them the question am I posting this for me or am I posting this to add value. I certainly hope I’m adding value to those that watch my videos and read my blog posts and receive my emails. This blog post really made me consider that sometimes my strategy is lacking, and I need to evaluate the purpose of my content. Thank you for making me think!
I can assure you that you add value. I love watching your videos. They make my day, especially when you and you wife laugh together. Relationship goals!
Hi Sarah! I must say I totally loved this week’s blog post! So natural, so light… You know what? You gave me the idea to post each day on TikTok as an addition to my post I already do on Instagram. Let’s complete this challenge!

Thank you Martin. That’s very kind of you. You are doing so well with your challenge- we can do this!
5 K a month is a worthy goal on top of the strategies to get you there. The 30 day posting everyday is a great strategy, as well. I agree with the response above— that she reads your posts, all the while hearing your voice in her head. I have the same experience!!
Did you? That’s really interesting, and very kind. I think I type what’s in my head and what I want to say. At least you both know its me and not some AI robot!
